The ONLY thing that has ever reduced emissions have been recessions or crises that cause temporary crashes in the economy. The ONLY way out of this apocalypse is to destroy the capitalist economy completely and rebuild our collective survival based on mutual aid.

The world is so complex & the balance of life so fragile that we don’t even know much of the damage we’re doing to the web of life. We’re fools to think we can rip up this wondrous web & hold together our modern civilization with the plastic-metallic stitches of our technology.

Currently waiting for an apology from all the neoliberals who claimed that our current economy is compatible with net zero because it is naturally "dematerializing" due to the tech revolution...
