@epninos @openSUSE Sadly not, as ISOs are read only and our installer needs to be able to write persistently to the USB also However most tools that can write ISOs to a USB write raw or raw.xz just the same

Today in @AeonDesktop - Locales also work for migrations/reinstalls - We accidentally added support for migrating directly from @openSUSE Tumbleweed to Aeon 🤣 - Fixed the image build so ignition works straight off the installer USB stick at designed Next, FDE experiments :)

With todays work, @AeonDesktop now fully supports any language out of the box with no manual steps besides picking the language and having an internet connection to download all the fonts, etc required Tomorrow: the same but for folk migrating to Aeon from other distros 🤩

Productive day for @AeonDesktop tik will now migrate encrypted homedirs contributed by @eugenio_g7 bug fixes - migration shell fixes - incomplete backups will restart - kernel race conditions avoided - GNOME settings save more reliably - and more.. Not bad for 24hr RC2 soon!

The new @AeonDesktop installer is shaping up really nice Just finishing up a module that will detect existing @AeonDesktop / MicroOS installations and offer to backup/restore /home and all user accounts to the installer USB stick before deploying a nice fresh Aeon image
