BBC contacted Serbia's Prosecution Office for War Crimes but they didn't respond. The UK Foreign Office (FCDO) said: “We are supporting a British man detained in Serbia and are in contact with the local authorities.”

Sadik Duraku from Brighton claimed UK asylum in 98 as war raged in his home country, Kosovo. He became a British citizen, grandfather, businessman. In April he was arrested on the Serbian border & charged with war crimes. He's currently in prison. His lawyer says the evidence against him is 'flimsy' and 'very scarce'.
