2026 tech stack for shipping iOS apps solo 🧑‍💻 ⚛️ expo so one codebase ships iOS and android 💳 revenuecat so i never touch storekit and can update the paywall anytime, and do A/B testing 🗄️ convex/supabase for the backend 📊 posthog to see where people rage quit 🐛 sentry for the crashes 🕵️ meta to spy on ads and tiktok to actually run them (📊 MMP like Adjust, Appsflyer to track attribution when running ads/ASO) that's all u need

2 years ago today, I ran out of all my money paying out devs to build out my first app. I tried marketing organically and completely failed. So I fought on street beefs because I couldn’t figure out any other way to get eyes on my product. 1 year later, I found Rork spent almost 0 on marketing and built the biggest the combat sports app on the market. Life’s crazy.

True if you are building a startup. But current game is: 1. Speedy execution 2. AdsMaxxing 3. Gain MRR 4. Sell the app 💲 I think taking an exit and selling the app at the right time can really make some good money.

🫡this is why a "10k MRR" business is MEANINGLESS. there's so much bad advice on X, and many, even big players here are focusing only on short-term revenue and fancy MRR screenshots. 🥸🙄 but thats a business built on sand. THINK LONGTERM! Most famous people here on X barely make 30-40% profit margins on their 10K MRR apps. Depending where you live thats less money than a bad 9-5 job. Build an app that provides real value to people LONGTERM! otherwise the churn will kill u.

i mean of course in general it depends on the niche. but i think there's something wrong with a cashflow business that depends on a current trend, current marketing formats etc that requires a lot of ad budget and ads creative. people will have unrealistic expectiations and realize they have to invest 7k in ads monthly to come out with 3k profit in the end. people will then also burn out fast. CAC < LTV yes of course but this can change very quickly when the current trend is saturated and ads not good enough (most people starting off are not good in making insane printing ads)

Since I recently pointed out that churn is dependent on the niche itself, I feel responsible to emphasize that building an app with good retention is insanely hard. Not only you have to pick a good problem but also the app has to be done really well. So please, make a cashflow business first. There's nothing wrong with it. Even with a humongous churn, you can absolutely print. CAC < LTV and you are good to go. Just realize what you're building.
