12 students from our highest group started receiving coding lessons through Zoom, with our amazing volunteer Emily, who has been to Alsama before. The program will be running from the end of April to the end of June, focusing on Python and the fundamentals of website development.

From prison to school! Our fourth school, Bourj-2 in Bourj Al Brajneh refugee camp, used to be a prison. Alsama has transformed it into a school for 260 students who have never been to school before. Here are some photos before & after the change. Scroll to see how it was before!

Recently, we welcomed 3 cricketers: Dominic, Salman,& Shay!They will be helping to create a national team competitive on the world stage.We aim to qualify for the Olympic Games in 2028.Our cricketers are training very hard, along with coaching the players every Sunday & Saturday.

After 5 months of hard work, our international volunteers & staff took their second Arabic exam with Ms. Mariam, after passing pre-A1 with flying colors. Now, they are able to read texts, express their feelings, & engage in small conversations that help them in their daily lives.

With full enthusiasm,we opened the doors of our fourth school in Bourj,welcoming 226 students into our Alsama family! The school is a neighbor to our Bourj One School(where Ms.Kadria is waving to the students in the last photo).A big thank you to Asfari for making this possible.

Exciting news in Alsama Cricket! Sunday, January 20, marked the opening of 2 additional cricket hubs for our Bourj 2 students. We welcomed 80 students aged from 11 to 14 years old. It was truly thrilling to witness the energy of all the new young kids filling the place.

Mr Amjad is the director of Bour 1 School. He loves his students so much & always keeps an eye on them. He tracks their performance & checks on them every day. Mr.Amjad keeps a special spot in his office for the amazing things his students create.

In Alsama, we have our youngest group, Group F, which is led by our high-level students in each school.Interestingly, Shatila 2 also has a Group F. Wissam, aged 16 and part of Group E, leads the IT sessions.He was chosen due to his passion for sharing his knowledge with others.
