Bruno is just one assist away from breaking the all-time record in a season. After watching him do everything he can to break the record against Forest, I'm betting on him to get it done in the final game against Brighton. For a bit of context, a key pass is any pass that directly leads to a shot. It's a key way to highlight which players look best for potential assists, as they are consistently creating chances for their teammates. Bruno leads the rankings with 132 key passes this season, and Szoboszlai is in 2nd place with 74. The reason I'm telling you that is to highlight just how mental Bruno Fernandes has been at trying to break this assist record. As an average per game, Szoboszlai is making 2.20 key passes, whilst Bruno is up at 3.90. But in Bruno's last game against Forest, where he could've broken the record, he made EIGHT key passes. He was jumping on every free kick, corner, and even passing when he had a better opportunity to shoot at goal. It's clear he wants this record. Even looking at his assist form in the league: 1, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1, 0, 2, 1, 1. The last time Bruno played against Brighton, he landed this market with an assist to Sesko, managing five key passes that game, the most of any Man Utd player. This is a Man Utd side who have taken the most shots (584) and shots on target (208) in the league, and are the 3rd highest scorers (63), so they will be testing the keeper. All of Bruno's teammates will certainly know about this record and want to help him achieve it. I'm betting on him to get at least one assist, and as long as his teammates don't play like bums, they will get chances. I'm hoping we get at least one converted. 18+, gamble responsibly.
