Absolutely gutted for @frankiehackett1. Being released is one thing but not having a club to play for is something else. Chin up youngin you will find another club 😢😢😢

@webblyhead There is a massive shortage of volunteers because of the rapid growth/development at u7/8/9’s etc but the parent club need to do due diligence before letting inexperienced “Well meaning” individuals loose with Children IMO

More so, I’d love to see whoever shared this raise awareness directly with these coaches or put them in touch with coach educators who could influence them (rather than it being yet another message for “experts” to snigger at)

Well the day has finally arrived after 40 years coaching to take a well earned break. A journey that started at Walker Youth Club in 83 and terminated @Blyth_TownFC yesterday, has allowed me to work with some fantastic people/players leaving me with so many special memories 👍⚽️

@coachingbadges The FA Youth Award (Modules 1, 2 & 3) went some of the way to help coaches understand how they could support players & develop these soft skills. Sadly, this content appears to have disappeared from the current courses.

We really need to look at how we teach & learn the soft skills as coaches. Helping players off the pitch every bit as crucial to their development as how we help them on the pitch. Ignore these skills at your peril ⚽️❤️🙌
