I just closed out a great week of training officers with the @MiamiDadePD on recognizing & responding to individuals with #autism. Mr. Kent Schomber, an autistic self-advocate from @UMNSUCARD assisted with the training. The #MDPD officers thoroughly enjoyed interacting with Kent!

The @RockwallPD1 began the first of a two-day #autism training today with @AutismCop to learn how to better respond to those on the spectrum. The @PlanoPoliceDept and Rockwall County Sheriff's Office joined the training.

I have to admit I’ve been really down recently, I wanted to join our local football team, as they had been asking for players, but I wasn’t allowed to even try. I’m gutted, it’s things like this which make me hate being autistic 😭 I didn’t want to celebrate being neurodiverse 😭

I found out that my MS is relapsing and will need to get another infusion. And the symptoms going off the most is aphasia. I’ve never had it before. When someone tells you “but you don’t look sick” This is me. Very sick. #Invisibleillness #MultipleSclerosis #imnotfakingit
