Successful teams focus on portfolio-wide success. Can’t argue with the 49ers’ track record there. They’ve had one of the NFL’s best and deepest rosters year in, year out. They even won 13 games last season in the midst of a mass injury event.

I think that reinforces my point better than anything I could’ve said except for: The 49ers beat Seattle on the road when they were mostly healthy

If the #49ers’ biggest 2026 acquisition is getting healthy, they are going to have a rough year. -They lost to the Rams 42-26 on November 9th -They lost to the Seahawks 13-3 on January 3rd -They lost again to the Seahawks 41-6 on January 17th. -Getting Bosa, Fred, and Mykel Back will obviously help, but SF has a dozen needs that have to be filled and a few that must be filled with foundational types of players. Getting those new team pillars had better be the biggest offseason acquisitions or the Niners are completely cooked. The truth: Seattle is younger and more talented. The 49ers were among the NFL’s oldest rosters in ‘25. This offseason needs to be more about building the new core, then trying to squeeze 1 or 2 more good years out of the old core.

@Awade21211 @LombardiHimself Lawrence is an edge Byron takes on so many double teams and stops them he’s the reason they had the number one rush defense. Niners need a lot of help to compete with those guys

@Awade21211 @LombardiHimself Their best d linemen are Williams and Murphy and Murphy was drafted. You need your draft picks to hit seattle and rams have hit theirs and Niners haven’t since 2020

@TruetotheMs @LombardiHimself So you want a team of all rookies? That logic makes no sense. Seattle best 2 D lineman is Lawrence and Williams both older then Fred and bosa. To build a good team you need young and older players and it helps when your older players are all pros
