@mchooyah But if they take your guns they won’t have to worry about anyone shooting back…

@SpikeEskin No but 2 and 3 were. Found a rhythm and found some energy…that disappeared real quick. Maybe coincidence

What a Sunday. Your time on this Earth is so limited, and yet, a day completely lit on fire.
Spike Eskin@SpikeEskin
That Phillies game was one of the worst ways to spend a Sunday afternoon of my entire life.

@BasedMikeLee We act shocked. They are fighting a war we’ve yet to acknowledge. We’re playing chess while they play Battleship and when they inevitably reclaim power we’ll be so far behind itll be impossible to fight back.

You declare that “now is a time to unify” even as you dismiss Republicans in Congress as “far right extremists”
Apparently “now is a time to unify” means “now is the time for everyone to embrace the progressive agenda.”
No thanks.
Hakeem Jeffries@RepJeffries
America will not be lectured about civility by far right extremists in Congress. Particularly those who provide aid and comfort to hundreds of violent rioters who brutally beat police officers on January 6. There will be ample time to vigorously debate the issues of the day. Now is a time to unify.

@NBCSPhilly @TheOceanAC Guys like Maxey and VJ don’t want to play with Embiid. They carry the team all year and halfway through this playoff run and he sprinkles himself in here and there. He’s the ex gf who prevents the man from moving on. There’s no future with him.

@RamsUp_Ian Can’t keep hoping next year will be different. Team hasn’t gotten it done with Stafford. Hindering your teams growth because of emotions is bad management. Good pick

I hope for the sake of the #Rams & the fanbase, that Ty Simpson works out.
But this clip of Sean McVay speaking, & others we've all seen by now, doesn't make me feel great about the Rams Leadership being all 100% on board with this selection.
McVay doesn't seem sold, to me...

@ClayTravis Her career in sports is over. Over saturated market and as a female her audience is already limited.

@mccrystal_alex I think he’s happy he recognized there were no moves that would have had this team competing with the Dodgers and glad he didn’t over pay for mediocre players. How’s Bichette or Tucker doing right now?

@SpikeEskin fakest flyers/hockey fan ever. Just shut up

@SpikeEskin Season is too long. Not to mention the endless flopping. Half the game spent on the line or launching up 3’s. Add in the ridiculous “rest days” and having players dictate when and where they play. People lost interest

"I need to see some evidence before I believe the NBA is less popular and heading in the wrong direction."
This is a New York Times reporter. The biggest newspaper in the US.
Finals ratings are literally half of what they were ten years ago.
Also, go outside! Talk to literally any normal person. It's obvious! Many regular sports fans are hardly even aware of the NBA unless their local team is succeeding.

@damonimani Anyone who attends a protest is a lunatic regardless of affiliation. Grow up.

@AATBirds He also played really poorly in 2025 and his star WR / former best friend is trying to leave. I think you and others are trying to hard. The reason is right in front of you.

I have come up with a few reasons analysts/fans/podcasters criticize Jalen Hurts more than QBs who’ve done less. 👇🏼
1. Stoic personality = less “narrative fuel”
Hurts doesn’t give the media much. No flashy quotes, no emotional outbursts, no controversy. Compare that to guys like Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen who are more expressive or outwardly charismatic—people latch onto personality. Hurts’ calm, almost corporate tone can come off as “boring,” so he doesn’t get the same benefit of the doubt in public discourse.
2. He doesn’t look like a traditional QB (to some analysts)
Even after success, some still frame him as a “system QB” because:
He runs a lot
The Philadelphia Eagles have had elite O-line/play-calling
He doesn’t rely on flashy off-platform throws like Mahomes
That creates this lingering bias where people credit the system more than the player.
3. Success came fast—and skeptics held onto old takes
Hurts went from “question mark” to Super Bowl-level QB quickly. A lot of analysts were low on him early, and instead of fully flipping, they hedge or wait for regression so they don’t look wrong.
4. Wins don’t always match the eye test crowd wants
Some fans prefer QBs who “wow” you every play. Hurts is more:
- Efficient
- Clutch
- Situationally elite
That style doesn’t always translate to highlight culture, even though it wins games.
5. Team success cuts both ways
Because the Eagles are stacked, critics say:
“Anyone could win with that roster.”
But when they lose, suddenly it’s:
“Hurts isn’t elite.”
He gets both sides of that inconsistency.
6. Personality vs perception
His leadership is respected inside the locker room, but since he’s not loud or flashy, outsiders sometimes misread that as lack of “it factor”—even though teammates consistently vouch for him.
Bottom line:
Yeah, his stoic personality contributes, but the bigger issue is perception lag + stylistic bias. Hurts doesn’t fit the media’s ideal QB mold, so he gets nitpicked more than others with similar (or worse) production.
