Not many of you have probably heard of @hassocksfc. A village club just north of Brighton and next weekend the biggest game in their history. Before last season, they'd never set foot above Step 5, but won the double along with their 23's and 18's also league champions. At Ashford Utd next Saturday they have to win and hope Sheppey Utd fall short at AFC Croydon Athletic. 758 walked through the door yesterday afternoon, a club that tries to do it all the right way in a first season at Step 4.

Instead of being able to start making travel plans 48hrs ago matchgoers will now have to wait until the end of April, post FA Cup semis. The FA Cup final is on Sat 16th May so all PL games are currently scheduled for Sunday 17th May (but we know some will change). There is the added complication of Villa/Forest potentially being in the Europa League final on Wed 20th May, meaning clubs might want their league fixtures on the Fri 15th May to allow more time, as per Man Utd and Spurs last season. But with all of the games already outside the Sat 3pm blackout, we don't see why those teams should delay the announcement of 5 other PL games which aren't directly affected.

Once again the @premierleague are more concerned about the wishes of the TV Companies than the travel arrangements and work commitments of the fans or the casual employees of those clubs

@hbfc1872 As a little kid I was in awe as my team won an FA Cup tie 7-1 at the Goldstone. Hillingdon Borough sounded exotic to me on 20th November 1971 Very sorry to learn that this team will be no longer.
