Dear Riot games, this is my feedback as a long time customer of your games for 12 years. You are being scammed D: 1. The money spent into TFT Competitive Tournaments is excessive Saying TFT is competitive is a lie, And since we have different people showing up in each worlds TFT Competitive will never be branded and accumulate viewers. People watch competition, to see the most charismatic/talented/disciplined or favorite individuals battle it out But since the game and format is way too RNG based It's going to keep getting different people on the scene And it's never going to grow significantly like Valorant or LOL 2. The current growth TFT has is due mostly to its influencers. NA grew because they have fine, relatable, entertaining influencers CN grew because of that + they are self-sustaining KR has fine YouTubers, who don't participate in tournaments at all but have a decent fanbase. The growth of TFT has nothing to do with tournaments, It's just the hard work of your community involved. 3. It's time to adapt and grow, like the rest of the world. I recommend realizing the issue and the money be spent elsewhere. - Invest within your company, keep improving your product(game) quality -Support the current influencers so they continuously have content to spread out to their viewers - Invest in DIGITAL MARKETING, collaborating with amazing artists (musicians, dancers, decorators, etc) from Tiktok or Instagram - Set higher standards for your company. You have amazing game devs in TFT that can make innovation happen. Let them do what they are good at, by giving them higher customer retention + reach goals. - Benchmark from other innovative gaming companies and make personas of your clients. Different gaming companies provide products for different niches, you can absorb their ideas and classify the TFT audience, providing them with more customized products. Its very easy to do so! My messages are very stern, so it might get misunderstood, but I hope you understand I am doing this for your wellbeing Riot Games. I have a busy schedule now, so I can't really keep researching and giving you guys feedback for free sorry😅 Hope you guys do well :)

I see a lot of hate But I don't find ANY single one of you to be offensive 😎 no hate here Thank you for sharing your opinion Some people in this world Want to prevent the layoff before it happens ^^ Regarding the Riot Layoff of 530 people. Costs down is good + Profit up is good = Could've saved more workers now and in the future, simple economics ---------------------------------------------------- I'm telling this out of moral responsibility, I saw 530 people get hurt for no reason and I see more coming. This is EVERYBODY's responsibility. If you calmly read my messages they aren't really offensive :) I'm seeing people get fired honestly for no reason. Seems easily preventable So I'm just pointing some obvious truths For example, think about OPTIMIZATION. Why is the prize pool for worlds $456,000 And not $700,000 or $200,000 -> Do they know how much marketing effect they'll get for each dollar compared to other major digital advertisement mechanisms? Most other companies use a formula to decide such factors. How much money is being distributed for each regional prize pool for tournaments, and how many people are actually engaged -> I know tens of thousands of dollars here is being pillaged by individuals, faking to host tournaments and taking thousands from Riot, Even I could do that if I wanted to. Why is the Asian feedback not considered as much in balancing or improve monetization for the game? They are a gold mine of assets that could help riot INCREASE their size instead of downsizing. -> There is a myriad of proven and tested ways to infiltrate the asian market and monetize them, which is what most global companies are doing in other major fields, they just need to benchmark off of other gaming companies, wasn't that their specialty? And many more, BASIC questions. That is really easy to check and fix. ------------------------------------------------------- For those fine intellectuals who read this far which is the purpose this thread is for We can apply these lessons in other fields of business or our lives :) Thanks for reading, hope you guys don't lose out because of someone else's mistakes 😅 --------------------------------------------------------

11% of Riot Workers layed off This was foreseeable. TFT 1. Wasted so much money on unneeded events for years globally 2. Ignored Asian markets/community feedbacks for years(which is more than 60% of their revenue) 3. Poor marketing and no accountability mindset for mistakes Riot games did a genius job with LOL and Valorant, and honestly Valorant's marketing is still insanely good. But, I guess Riot is stuck with a really bad movie sequel in TFT and LOL, like Little Mermaid 2 edition.cnn.com/2024/01/23/tec…

Making New Jeans wear a product (Sunglasses, Clothes etc) Costs around 1 Million Dollars a year (Estimate of 2021 based on Jenny from Black Pink) I am wondering what the Western view of this marketing project Worth or not worth? Would you take those odds? :D The Korean View on this is really simple Korea is a very strong Trend Market, meaning that if someone as influential as New Jeans, Black Pink, BTS etc. wears a product You can expect that specific product to be sold out instantly! Of course it depends on the type of product, quality and branding etc. That is why I thought it was a fun topic to discuss :D

@BebeAutoChess Regulations = less innovation is a topic we've exploee in my masters degree (Master Media Innovation) especially in an ethical framework but also in the context of creativity and AI. Very interesting discussions to be had

I wanted to share this knowledge, This is from the Book "How Innovation Works" "Discoveries of Replacable Energy such as Shale Oil, was limited by Government Regulations" Regulations = Less Experiments & Exploration Innovation is a result of Experimentation & Exploration A Lot of people thought Oil was a FIXED resource at first, And that was due to the lack of experimentation and research! (MONEY ISSUES :D) Same reason why Torium isn't the major factor in Nuclear Power Plants, even though its considered to be "better" Its nearly IMPOSSIBLE to experiment and research with Torium, because of the astronomical costs and regulations we have to go through What do you guys think? :D

@junsunglao Great point, unregulated experimentations can and did a lot of harm to people in the past, thank you so much for sharing, it gives me motivation to look up examples of failed regulation harming society :D Great insight 👍

@BebeAutoChess It's a matter of balance. A lot of harm has been done on people because someone decided to experiment at the detriment of others for the sake of innovation. There is such a thing as too much regulation but having too little of it harms just as much

@BebeAutoChess I'd say this is boiling down very complex things into something very binary and basic. Regulations do not necessarily mean less experiments and exploration. For example, regulating a field can promote competition, promote widespread adoption and standardization, and so on.

@ABizmuth That is remarkable insight! You're right, even if we have a good solution to a problem, making people participate in something they don't understand can be scary! Amazing insight bro!

@BebeAutoChess I think the main problem with this kind of energy it’s the public opinion. Despite all the advantages people are still reluctant to nuclear( speaking in Europe idk about Asia) so introducing the public to this will bring so much more protest and questioning from the population.
