With a 220 Tesla home charger, I open the charge port before leaving the car (1 sec), pass by the charger and put the "cord" into the car (5 sec max) and go inside. To leave, I take out the cord, place it on the wall and enter the car (4 sec max). Much faster than a fill-up every week. With a 23KW whole house generator, I still will be up and running when the gas stations shut down. When was the last time my life depended on driving more than 320+ miles. Uhmmm. That would be never. Even if it did, things would probably be so bad it wouldn't matter. Tesla battery warranty is free replacement for my model S is 8 years or 150K miles if under 70%. That is worst case scenario. Most people experience longer life. Keeping to a few simple rules for longer battery life. Keep daily charge limit to 80% when not expecting to go long distances. Don't sit at 100% charge in high temperatures. Doing these will not toast a battery, it will just increase to odds that it will hit 70% in 8 years. But even if it did, it would be a free battery replacement.

@atensnut Doesn't it depend? I was taught that the skier can signal to speed up or slow down. If he said slow down and the driver didn't its the drivers fault. If the skier said speed up and the driver did what was told, its the skiers fault.

@atensnut I read to the end. Do I get a cookie? In high school, machines would illuminate rows of text. The rows would get narrower and narrower and the scan would go down the page faster and faster. My fastest with high comprehension was 300 words/min. Faster would drop comprehension.

Were you able to read at 900 words/minute. It gets more and more difficult. I could until the last 20-30 seconds.

@NobodymrRobert I was watching a YouTube video that explains this technology is the very reason we can have complex roof structures in today's world. The era of just having a Hip or a Gable roof as choices are gone.

@sciencegirl If there was a camera facing the interviewee, tied to AI generating the scene, then the image could be processed such that the objects in the front would move according to the head movement. This would mimic a real world 3D content. There was a gaming systems that did this.
