$BTC alpha: asymmetric bet to protect against downside short decs vs march at 20% in either $eth or $btc eth seems to have more ghost liquidity on ftx

@_silto_ And ghost liquidity is if you a sell order in eth decs say 0.2% lower than mid, you should be able to fill 1000 plus eth mostly algo driven, you are not going to see that sort of loquidity on orderbooks

@_silto_ So even if it btc rips higher, there is a natutal selling pressure in form of carry trades

@_silto_ Reason i say its assymetric is in a yield starved world, if yiu take on ftx custodial risk; that 26 6% annualized return entices a lot of funds to go for the carry trade; buy spot sell decs and reverse on expiry to lock in almost risk free 20%

@gross_bit Still will be exposed to whiteswans though, but then 1*2 spreads have a similar risk too

@gross_bit I tend to resonate with your option plays, cheapened up/down expression in form of ratio spreads; these plays are similar in their assymetric nature;dec+ vs perps- for longing, and decs- and march+ for shorting; decent ghost liquidity and very volitile spreads

$BTC alpha: long BTC decs vs BTC march; big seller in decs; 80 delta sure, this spread is going to bounce 5% in a days time

@gross_bit not during the down move; you could literally have spreaded 20mil with <0.5% slippage to and fro

$ETH alpha: @FTX_Official ETH-1231 pricing in 16% premium for 350 days. That avg 0.0019% priced in; realizing 0.0075% for last 20 days; should be priced much higher imo in 25-30% annualised range
