I lost my grouchy teddy bear today. Mark Carnevale was one of the good ones. I loved him, I’m gonna miss him. He made all of us on @SiriusXMPGATOUR better broadcasters. More importantly, his friendship was unconditional. This hurts… a lot.

@jman87530075 @1beardedgolfer Haven’t played the Casting Club in a couple years, so can’t offer current comments. If you get a chance to play Cheboygan Golf Club, it is a pretty good track. My folks are members and I play there fairly regularly. Holes 8 and 9 are bit squirrelly but in a fun way.

@Breadchick @1beardedgolfer Nice, we are staying on Mullett so figured black lake and hidden river would be close and easy to get to. Plan to play Mullett CC every night after dinner

At a time when I feel like a lot of golf thought leaders can't wait to chase the new thing, as so many new destinations come online, it's easy to forget how many superb courses already exist in Northern Michigan. I daydream about getting back to places off most lists now.

@jman87530075 @1beardedgolfer Played Mullet over 4th weekend. Great shape as usual. Black Lake was a little rough in a few spots because they did some work on irrigation on back nine but still one of my faves.

@1beardedgolfer Greywalls, Forrest dunes, black lake, hidden river, Belvedere, Mullett lake CC in September. Can’t wait.
