I always have to cut a centimetre off the top of a pouch of microwaveable rice otherwise it doesn’t spin around nicely in the microwave and I’m not really sleeping very well at the moment and my fishes’ flakes are too big for their mouths. And there are other things too.

@K_C_Mann @balconyshirts This is a very good point; we do check ours regularly to make sure they're genuine and haven't been replaced. In @balconyshirts case, they'll be printed on their clothes so they should be safe.

@Brunel_Library @balconyshirts One of the few places where it might be safe to do so. QR codes on signage and posters can be overlaid with fakes by criminals.

We are designing a new nape print for our stuff. We are thinking about putting a QR code on it. Do you use QR codes? Is that a good idea or silly? Thank you for taking part in our free market research.

@Brunel_Library Yes, I've seen that. If it goes back to 1859 then that sounds likely, doesn't it? Someone suggested it was "Desirable Residence Under Management" (a flat) which also sounds plausible but would be more modern, possible?

Why is “drum” a slang term for house or home? Yes, I’ve Googled it, but the various explanations are not very convincing. I’d presumed it was Cockney rhyming slang but now not so sure?

@balconyshirts According to what I just read, it might be from the Romany word 'drom' meaning road and that it came to mean a place of residence along a road. Whether that has any basis in fact or not is a different matter!
