Crawford St Bridge, #TrinityBellwoods Park, #Toronto. The concrete triple-arch bridge across Garrison Creek was commissioned by R.C. Harris and built in 1915. The creek and bridge were buried with dirt from construction of the Yonge subway in the 1960s. #TorontoHistory

Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, Centre Island, #Toronto. Built on the shore of Lake Ontario in 1809, it is Toronto's oldest stone building and was in operation for 149 years. Its first keeper, J.P. Rademüller, disappeared in 1815, likely murdered by local soldiers. #TorontoHistory

The London Club, Queens Ave just east of Richmond, London, Ontario. In its first few years, the private club was located on King across from @CoventMarket. The club has been on Queens since the construction of this building in 1881 on the former site of a hotel. #LndOnt #history

R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant, #Toronto. On former Victoria Park, the #ArtDeco plant began construction in 1932 and opened with 3 buildings in 1941, still serving >30% of Toronto's water supply. An east wing was added to the filter building (upper) in 1958. #TorontoHistory

#TrinityBellwoods Park at Queen & Gore Vale, looking northwest, #Toronto. At its founding in 1851, @Trinity_College was outside of the city, but by 1914, unkempt development had caught up to the college. Today there are cherry blossoms, gifts from the Japanese Canadian community.
