Pitch Black drop is officially done. HUGE congrats to anyone who copped! That was the craziest drop I've seen on this site man. It's actually incredible to me how Pokémon Center drops seem to be getting worse instead of improving. Advancing past the first 2 gyms was exhausting if you picked Char. Also there are 0 grass options between start and Pewter gym. 0 type advantage options.

@NyanningNyaaaa @CatchEmAllMax @khazarAntlers Sure, if you're scared because you aren't good enough to win with Char Char Binks. You can get a second grass pokemon immediately and water pokemon not long after. If you want another fire type you have to wait until you are at least 3 to 4 badges in

Genuine question: I look at Pokémon cards and see an iconic IP with a huge ecosystem of players, vendors, collectors, and fans built and nurtured over the last 3 decades. Collectors of all ages collect specific artists, sets, and even extremely niche things like “cards with sleeping Pokémon”. I look at One Piece TCG and see an equally iconic IP with a 3-4 year old TCG, with a quickly growing competitive scene and tournament-won prize card sales being sold to collectors every day for 5-6 figures. Do we ever see OPTCG ever catching up to or even surpassing Pokémon TCG’s chokehold on a legion of diehard collectors? Why or why not?
