#MAOP2024 - another great success supported by @OpticaWorldwide , @SPIEtweets , @Thorlabs , @YSU_official, #IPR, Science Committee of RA! More than 70 researchers and students from 12 institutions and companies from 8 countries learned & exchanged #optics, #photonics for 2 weeks.

👩‍🔬 To celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science we held a panel discussion on 12.02.2025 about the role of women in science, chaired by our president Shant. Our speakers shared their journeys and motivated more young girls. @OpticaWorldwide @SPIEtweets

On 19.12.2024, we hosted a one-day conference at @YSU_official. The university’s rector, vice-rectors, professors, and students joined us to review this year’s activities. We are excited to continue our work with the same enthusiasm in coming 2025. @SPIEtweets @OpticaWorldwide

On 28.11.2024 we hosted the 6th episode of our series of webinars on Integrated Quantum Photonics. Dr. Mher Ghulinyan walked us through the process of design and fabrication of an integrated chip for quantum applications. @OpticaWorldwide @SPIEtweets

💡 Today, on November 15th, our student chapter members held 2️⃣ parallel outreach sessions in schools of Yerevan. Our optics experiments helped students to understand how physics works and how beautiful it is. @OpticaWorldwide @SPIEtweets @YSU_official

💥 Today, on the November 12th we had our regular chapter meeting and held an outreach training session for our new members. We enjoyed networking and guiding our new friends through our outreach process. We’re looking forward to our future events together!

On October 21st, 2024, we celebrated the Day of Photonics at the Yerevan State University. Using our Quantum Distribution Demonstration Kit from @Thorlabs , which we purchased thanks to the @SPIEtweets Outreach Grant, we demonstrated the principles of quantum distribution🔐

And here is again our beloved International Symposium on Optics and its Applications for the 12th edition (#OPTICS12). On 15th of October 2024, @ChapterYso ‘s officers participated in a poster session and presented our chapter's activities to the attendees 🌎

💡On 09.10.2024, we welcomed freshman and sophomore students at YSU. Our president, Shant, gave a presentation, highlighting our ongoing projects and initiatives to make science more accessible for everyone. Following the presentation, we did a quick outreach session.

On 03.10.24,@ChapterYso participated in the “Science Week” expo in Yerevan. We presented optics experiments,hosted a quiz related to the demonstrated phenomenon. The event drew interest from people of all ages,who wanted to learn how physics worked and influenced our daily lives.

🌟From the 23rd to 27th of September, the president of @ChapterYso , Shant Sargsyan attended @OpticaWorldwide ‘s #StudentLeadership program at #FiOLS2024! Shant had a great time networking and connecting with the #opticaambassadors, fellow students and senior members of Optica.

On the 13th of September, our chapter participated in an expo dedicated to freshman students at @YSU_official. During the event, we introduced students the opportunities they could explore with us to make physics more interesting for a public audience.

@ChapterYso's members chaired sessions, presented talks, posters, outreach, organized social activities for #MAOP2024 with the support of @OpticaWorldwide, @SPIEtweets, and @YSU_official. Together, we also celebrated the 20th anniversary of the 1st #OSA student chapter in Armenia

#MAOP2024 gave students the possibility to present their work and network with experts in the field in a friendly atmosphere. @ChapterYso's members with pride took over the organizational duties of such a great event for 2 weeks by learning and teaching, sharing and receiving!

#MAOP2024's 1st week covered lectures and lab tasks on 3 main topics of the college: Optical computing & imaging; Quantum optics & nanophotonics; Optical materials & nonlinear spectroscopy.

From 5-9 August the 5th jubilee edition of Physics & We summer camp took place. The participants designed, assembled, and digitized a spectrometer that can distinguish various liquids; measure and visualize the concentration of different compounds in the mixed solution.
