My thoughts are with the Jewish community in Australia, here in Ontario and around the world following the terrible attack that took place in Sydney earlier today, at the start of Hanukkah. As we come together in support of our Jewish friends and neighbours to grieve this terrible attack, we must all stand with our Jewish community against hate and antisemitism wherever it is found. I am praying for the victims and their loved ones, and that all those responsible for this attack are swiftly brought to justice.

We discussed how we can work together to harmonize safety standards across jurisdictions — so workers can move freely while staying safe on the job. By aligning training and safety requirements across Canada, we can break down barriers, protect workers, and deliver nation-building projects. Grateful for LiUNA’s continued partnership and leadership in building a safer, stronger Ontario.

This expansion means more Ontario homes will be made by Ontario workers using Ontario wood, supporting our forestry sector and keeping workers on the job.
