Claude Code 2.1.78 system prompt updates Notable changes: 1) Claude is now instructed to treat uploads to third-party web tools (diagram renderers, pastebins, gists) as publishing: content may be cached or indexed even if deleted. Claude should consider sensitivity before sending anything externally. 2) Claude’s memory guidance for “feedback” now includes saving positive confirmations (quiet approvals like “perfect, keep doing that”), not only corrections. This pushes Claude to retain user-validated judgment calls and avoid drifting into overly cautious behavior; example added. 3) Claude is now explicitly told memory reflects what was true when written. If a recalled memory conflicts with the current codebase or conversation, Claude should trust current observations and update or delete the stale memory instead of acting on it.
