High School Recruiting Story: High School Accolades - WA 4A State Champion 14-0 - 1st Team All-State - League DPOY - Team Captain - 2X Team Sack Leader - 2X 1st Team All-Region - All-Region POTY Offers - Central Washington University - Western Washington University Eastern Washington University offered a partial scholarship 1 week before signing day. I was about to sign with CWU (Another Great School). Why only one DI offer? I weighed 200lbs and wasn’t very explosive. I wasn’t big enough or explosive enough to play at my dream school, University of Oregon. That doesn’t mean I wasn’t a good football player, I was damn good. At the end of the day I loved football and was going to play at the next level, regardless of what division it was. Whoever got me was getting all of me. Ended up starting all 4 years and becoming a 2X All-American, National DPOY, and played 7 years professionally. My advice, just focus on what you can control. Have fun playing the game, give your best effort, do the extra work, be a warrior on the field, be a great teammate! Everything else will take care of itself. You’ll be where you need to be!
