What's your storm chasing playlist? Share it in the comments! Recently I chatted with @NaderChaserRob and we got into the importance of listening to music on the road. Of course I had to fangirl about Pink Floyd, but Rob shares a little more. Rob's playlist is in the comments:

Calling it quits for the night and headed home now that the Aurora has weakened significantly (still present) and retreating northward. But man, that last substorm had a heck of an explosion phase! Very bright and full of motion. The time lapse on this should be pretty good later. The Aurora Borealis as seen from just north of Cheyenne, Wyoming from 1:32 a.m. until 1:39 a.m. tonight.

Just a heads up when it comes to some chase teams and random tornado tours. There are tons of "teams" out there that claim to be veteran chasers and big into research, yet have never seen a tornado. You also often get some of those folks offering to take you chasing for a fee. Do your homework before you get the shaft! Skim through photos and see what kind of content they have. Most of the time you'll see low quality shots of some clouds or a summer pop up storm, or the classic scud bomb "tornado." If you're looking to join a tour, be sure to go with the legit tour companies. If you're a newbie to chasing and want to learn, stay away from the "teams" that play pretend. Storm chasing is dangerous and learning from the wrong crowd can bite you in the rump. The best way to learn is by getting out and doing it. Don't try zero metering on the first day. Practice forecasting target areas. Once you have a target, let her rip! Observe from a distance, learn storm and tornado behavior and let experience over time get you closer to the beast. INSTINCT AND EXPERIENCE IS THE KEY 🔑

remember the one time that left split went clear across Oklahoma and ruined every other storm lmfao

Lightning camera triggers? I get asked questions about which ones I use all the time. It's no surprise I got to test a beta version of @Negative_Tilt's Bolt Hunter last year. Jeff shared answers to many of the questions in a recent podcast here: youtu.be/_Vf_FMiMREc?si…

Well damn… advertising oneself as an “expert” with “2+” years [of] experience is… something… So is advertising with the NWS logo *and* using AI-generated photos (surely an expert of 2 years would have photos of their own, no?)… Hope there’s a good waiver.

Another view of the Enderlin EF5 tornado from the TikTok account "avafernow". This video is taken from over 6 miles west of the tornado, and shows the tornado as it was nearing peak width and intensity.
