One thing I've come to realize is that having enough capital can save you from a lot of bad entries. ​On Saturday night, I was already done for the day and had locked in a $70 profit. ​Around 2 AM, right before bed, I checked the charts and saw a very clear long setup on SOL. ​I placed a limit order, it caught the slight dump perfectly, and I was quickly up $10. ​Instead of securing it, I stepped away to the bathroom for just a minute. ​I came back to my screen and saw a -$150 floating loss staring right back at me. ​Because of the sudden US and Iran tension, the market had completely dumped down to almost $80. ​My floating loss went as deep as -$350. I was furious, and it was dangerously close to my liquidation price. ​If I didn't have enough capital in my portfolio, I would have panicked and closed the trade in a massive loss right there. ​But having a solid account balance and good trading psychology helped me weather the storm. ​I held my conviction for two straight days—through Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. ​Yesterday, the market finally pumped back up, crossed my entry price, and hit my TP. ​I even managed to scalp back in and secure even more profit on top of it. ​Having enough capital can rescue a bad entry, but pairing it with strong conviction and knowing exactly what you are doing is what keeps you profitable. 💰✅

A lot of people react to weak markets by immediately looking for shorts. That can work. But it’s also one of the fastest ways to learn that “advanced strategy” and “good strategy” are not the same thing. Shorting has asymmetric risk. Longs can go to zero.
