The talent behind Saba has talked about this when she was with Hololive. She struggles with health and stress issues to the point she can't sleep and eat. I see we've decided to go with public shaming now. This is why the vtuber community has the rep it does. You don't need to make a public announcement to make her feel bad. She, likely, already does...This isn't about Saba. This is about YOU and not getting what YOU think is owed to YOU. Pathetic.

Welcome to indie Vtubing. There may or may not be a social media manager helping manage social unlike there definitely being one for a corpo vtuber. You aren't owed anything and are welcome to stop subbing at anytime for any reason and have no obligation to tell the streamer just as they don't have to tell you why they're not streaming. Assuming you're owed something is parasocial.

This left my circle and I don’t want to interact with this post anymore. But I want to say that I just think it’s weird to expect something from her because her memberships don’t state that they are monthly/weekly/etc. they happen on occasion just like her normal streams. (1/?)

Just posting this here. I think Saba is allowed to take any breaks she want, she owes people no information. But people also are allowed to cancel memberships or be upset if one of the membership perks they are paying for isn't happening. Both things can be true at the same time.

I dont think Saba owes anyone an explanation as to why she has been on a hiatus. Ive been worried, just because I care about everyone and dont hope anything bad happened.
I think everyone is used to people like Mori, Kiara, etc etc from holo who explain, or even zentreya, deme and tomoe who feel like they need to tell their community what is going on and why they arent streaming.
Saba doesn’t owe us anything, if shes having health issues, shes having health issues, if theres personal issues happening, then okay. If shes burnt out again? (like shes had issues with for the past 4-5 years), then shes burnt out, let her have breaks, it’s unfair to force people to work if they are burnt out

I think the hate on Saba is ridiculous.
She makes high quality content every time she streams because she's streamed for YEARS. She knows how to engage and captivate an audience. Due to that, she makes money from people who want to support her. For those complaining that she isn't producing a lot of content, just know that she's a person outside of vtuber work. She's not telling you her personal life. If she can get by streaming once in a while, then that's great for her! Ex. Imagine your friend worked hard in their career and was able to only have to work a couple hours a month, wouldn't you be happy for them? Of course we all would love more Saba, but this is her choice, and if you don't like it, move on. There are TONS of other vtuber content creators who stream often that you can watch and support. Lastly, if you're upset about "overpriced" merch, then don't buy it. It's not meant for you.

It's too easy to forget that when somebody goes from being a corpo streamer to an indie streamer that they're an actual person behind the model and they're no longer being forced to push through whatever they have going on in life and instead are able to take time to deal with life.

No hate to Saba but I'd say she does owe fans some type of notice. I use the word owe because this is a job. When you go on vacation at work you put your time in and let your boss know. Why does she get a pass? Not parasocial but why are we setting double standards?

My take on the Saba drama is that streamers/creators do not owe you *anything* unless explicitly stated.
That said, they are also not entitled to being supported either. If you want to unsub from someone who's been radio silent for 2+ months, you're completely valid.
