Who buys the phones for these kids? Our 11 year old is probably the only one in his 5th grade class without an iPhone. There is a reason for this. It is 100% the parents to blame. Step up and hold your kid accountable. It takes work, your child won’t like it, but you’re not here to be your child’s buddy. Fill the screen void with something else. Go workout together, talk with them, find something they are passionate about and share that passion with them. Your child will thank you later and you’ll feel good because you raised and solid and productive citizen. PSA over.

Big shout out to the parents whose kids don’t get much playing time or spend most of the game on the bench. You still come to every game, cheer for the team, and support every player, even when your own child might not get any minutes. You’re teaching your kids what it means to show up, be part of a team, and put 'we' before 'me.' It takes real dedication and selflessness to be there all the time, and your example is helping your kids become strong and caring people. Thanks for showing what true team spirit looks like! Especially the parents from RMHS!
