Pour one out for NASA's Joel Montalbano. Months ago he is confirmed to appear before the US House to speak about the future of humans in low-Earth orbit. On the day before his appearance NASA basically says there isn't much of one. democrats-science.house.gov/hearings/the-f…

Fake AI videos of physicist Richard Feynman are spreading on TikTok & YouTube, with made-up quotes like “humans will never reach Mars.” These deepfakes look real—always take a second to verify before sharing. #AI #humanstomars #fakenews

HiRISE: Beautiful Mars
HiRISE 3D: A Curved and Branching Ridge This is probably one of many inverted stream channels. These have apparently been exhumed (i.e., were locked within the intercrater layered rock strata). uahirise.org/anaglyph/ESP_0… NASA/JPL-Caltech/University of Arizona #Mars #NASA #science

HiRISE: Beautiful Mars
HiPOD: Dunes with Fans HiRISE is also a big fan of polar dunes! We acquired this image as a site for long term monitoring for any changes. On some of the ridges, frost is visible as well as dark spots caused by the process of sublimation. uahirise.org/hipod/ESP_0767… #Mars #NASA

Current weather conditions over LC-1 violate cloud and lightning commit criteria for launch, so we’re standing down from today’s Electron mission for @esa. A weather system is passing through the region in the coming days, so our next target launch date will be set once that passes. Back soon under clearer skies.

After 293 days in orbit, ADRAS-J is entering its final phase — controlled deorbit operations and closing out a groundbreaking mission. ADRAS‑J made history as the first commerical mission to approach and capture close-range images of real space debris, from fly-around observations and getting as close as just 15 meters to a rocket upper stage As ADRAS-J begins its journey back to Earth, it leaves behind more than milestones — it paves the way for the next step: actually removing debris from orbit. astroscale.com/en/news/astros…

That rock fell from space on Saturday, burst through roof & ceiling, bounced hard enough off the floor to hit the ceiling again, and finally rattled to a stop. It sure surpised the family - thankfully, no one was hurt. Earth gets hit by about 50 tons of meteors EVERY DAY. Luckily 2/3rds of our planet's surface is water, so mostly they splash into the sea. But not always ... details: khou.com/article/news/l… photo: Ponderosa Fire Department
