I really don't think OpenAI is going to let this slide. I've been saying it for a long time, the real inflection was when they reached 5.2. I have no clear insight on what they currently have internally, but if they haven't made a Mythos/Fable yet, it was *a choice*.
Andrew Curran@AndrewCurran_

The internal boost from Mythos-assisted development since February is just too big. Anthropic is pulling away from the pack for the first time, and at the same time they are also speeding up. The race legitimately feels like it is changing for the first time in years.

Got an output from the strongest pre-release Gemini 3.5 Pro checkpoint 👀 I compared it to Claude Fable 5 and GPT-5.5 on the same exact prompt Yeah... This model is mostly dead on arrival (tried it on other prompts too ofc). It will likely be the "poor man's model" next to 3.5 flash. 1st video: Gemini 3.5 Pro (pre-release) 2nd video: GPT-5.5 3rd video: Claude Fable 5

Claude Fable (Mythos) is the Agent1 from OpenBrain. These are the early days of singularity.

OpenAI is "entering the third phase. The economy is beginning to reshape around AI." - The first phase of OpenAI was about doing research toward AGI - The second phase began when the research became relevant to the real world and OpenAI became a product company Their goal for 2028 is to build steerable, accountable AI researchers that can increasingly automate scientific research, helping humans solve alignment and navigate the post-AGI transition. Sounds like we're now taking the final steps towards AGI/Post-AGI.

🚨 A new anonymous model under the name "Kindle" has been added to the Design Arena, very likely to be the same "kindle-alpha" GPT-5.6 Release Candidate checkpoint previously revealed As foretold! It's coming

I think Europeans should solve their trade deficit issues by buying American. Indeed, they must tariff China and themselves, and issue *negative* tariffs for American goods. This will heal the trans-Atlantic partnership of Freedom, which is sorely needed in Trump's wake.

Feels like something is moving in Germany. Conservative leader in EPP Manfred Weber “Either we fight back, or China will cripple parts of our industry. The EU must now use its trade policy instruments decisively and without hesitation"

I've seen a couple people say stuff like this and I never understood why. The impression I got was that some people assign a sort of magical ability to "AGI" to do whatever it wants, physics be damned, and if you bring up any restriction then you just don't get it
Ben Schulz@schulzb589

An exponentially improving AI should be able to hack literally every single connected device with a chipset. Cameras, routers, hospital machines, Bloomberg terminals, the entire NYSE, D.O.D. command and control, Cloudflare, Waymo taxis, and your fridge. Then, spin up sub-agents and proxies for redundancy. The world of atoms isn't so disconnected from the world of bits these days.

@kimmonismus At some point humans will not understand whats being upgraded during RSI, that will be the beginning of the singularity.

@zhil_arf @SamoBurja Once AGI is achieved it will tell you how to build the best possible chip, device, craft etc. whatever futuristic thing. In the very beginning it will be better to have large manufacturing/construction capacity for a country to build until ASI just takes over.

@SamoBurja What kind of industrial economy? Indonesia textile economy, for example, seems to be facing oblivion as it fails to compete with Chinese textiles

If your economy is a knowledge economy you're worrying about mass unemployment. In contrast if your country has an industrial economy, you're looking at 10% year on year economic growth. Taiwan, South Korea, but eventually also less obvious ones like the Netherlands (ASML).
