Storm is controlling thermal energy at a system level, not just “making ice.” She’s actively removing heat from the environment and locking it into a stable state, making the ice extremely difficult to undo. Even Iceman admits: He’s better at taking heat out (cooling/freezing) But adding heat back in (melting) against Storm is hard because she’s continuously maintaining the energy balance.
