PLAYSTATION IS ENDING PHYSICAL DISCS Starting January 2028, new games releasing on PlayStation consoles will be digital-only. Games already released won’t be affected.

@DiscussingFilm Sony just ended an entire era of gaming. No shelf, no used copies. This feels like the real death of physical discs.

PlayStation is ending production of physical game discs for all new games, starting January 2028. From that date, new games will be available in digital formats only.
