BROWDER: Ukrainian isolation of Crimea is a humiliation for Russia. They're finding themselves in positions they thought were perfectly defended, that are no longer defensible. It is going to cause great pain to Russians, level of pain neither Russians nor Putin were expecting. Ukrainians have now figured out that they can isolate Crimea economically by ensuring no goods go in or out, because they are blowing up the trucks as they try to enter. They are also making it impossible for the soldiers stationed in Crimea to be resupplied. I think this could have a very negative effect on Russia’s ability to continue defending Crimea.
