@janetngbio We do lots of work with #drones and #birds in my lab from being minimally invasive for surveys to hazing to mitigate bird strikes with aircraft to carcass detection/identification primarily in wind energy.

I hear it's #Tech4Wildlife week! Can I get a roll call for folks using #drones #UAV for wildlife work? Particularly if it's for birds! It's a new tool for me and there's lots to consider. I plan on using it for shorebird & waterbird work.

Our forth and final summer field season is off to a great start! Prairie conditions have been favorable, with warm temps and “normal” precipitation. Photos: GADW, CCSP, VESP, and the northern lights. We’re approaching the halfway point and I’m already starting to miss this place.
