The reasons why this is a hot topic atm is that each of the 4 methods used to calculate the speed are all yielding different results with each iteration only firming their answers. So this means that we've gotten something wrong somewhere and it'll be huge when we figure it out

And for TLDR: Researchers are using several ways to calculate how fast the universe is expanding. This method uses light from far away exploding stars that, in simple terms, gets split via light bending. They calculate the difference between the two and get the answer.

@BlazingSpitfyre You can claim this as a bad debt on your taxes for the year it became completely worthless. However, you have to prove you tried to collect on it, which has various ways. It is a bit complicated, but it's money back in your pocket, even if it's $100.
