@FlexibleFirst @grntimaginarium More often than not it’s trustees still not getting remote working. Also, the correlation between not going full hybrid and ‘we just signed up to a 3 year rental agreement and refurbed the office in 2020 at great expense’ is fairly significant

Genuine question - why is the default for so many London based charities still office based or hybrid (needing to be in London 2-3 days a week)? What are the barriers to charities taking a #FlexibleFirst approach, where the role could be done office OR remote based OR hybrid?

@FlexibleFirst Gonna go with having to pay rent anyway so why not fill the office to make that feel worthwhile, valuing presentism, the lack of understanding/fear from changing working practises, and disbelief that relationships/culture/performance management can be done well remotely…🤷‍♀️
