Open 8 PM to midnight tonight! We’re back to 50% cloud cover, but we might still get a glimpse at the Moon, Mars, and Venus before they set in the early evening. Even if there’s not much to see, the fireflies from Fuertes are like stars of their own!

Our FINAL lecture of the semester is tonight, 7 PM in Appel 303! Astronomy PhD student Stella Ocker will discuss our studies of plasma in the space between stars! After the lecture, despite the rain, Fuertes will be open at 8 for tours of the telescope!

TONIGHT: Prof. Mason Peck on “The Dawn of Big Space!” Appel 303 at 7 PM! To celebrate Yuri’s Night—the anniversary of the first human in space—Prof. Peck will discuss how companies like SpaceX are changing spaceflight. There will be pizza, salad, and space candy provided!
