Remembering Kurt Cobain, who was born on this day, February 20, 1967, in Aberdeen, Washington. Cobain developed an interest in music at a young age & got his first guitar at age 14. In 1987, with Krist Novoselic and Aaron Burckhard(who was eventually replaced by Dave Grohl), he formed Nirvana. They released their debut album Bleach on Sub Pop in 1989, and in 1991, they released Nevermind, which became one of the best selling alternative albums of the 1990s, it helped to popularize the Seattle grunge movement and alternative music. Nevermind has now sold over 30 million copies worldwide & the song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2017. Cobain, the main songwriter for Nirvana, became known as a voice for his generation, although he was uncomfortable with the attention. Cobain is widely regarded as one of the best metal singers of all time and is often listed as one of the best songwriters. In 2014, Cobain was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Nirvana. After years of health issues, depression & drug addiction, Kurt Cobain died in April 1994 at the age of 27.
@Pops__o I have confidence in them, especially in emergencies but if you have conditions that may be serious and need looking at outside of that (minor ops etc), it tends to be a bit quicker using the private route I find (food on the wards is much better too).
I’ve been offered private health cover with my new job, and from recent conversations I’ve had with many people, they’ve all said that they’d rather go private.
Do you have confidence in the NHS?
