#FC27 CAREER MODE MEGATHREAD!! How many years behind is this beloved mode now!? It's getting beyond embarrassing! I will be using this pinned thread to post New Features/Suggestions/Bugs & Improvements that @EASPORTSFC can use in future instalments of their game: #FC26 seen a few nice additions (albeit not fully implemented correctly) but the mode is still literally YEARS away from where it should be! May i also suggest now you're "listening to the community" that you actually listen to the hardcore Career Mode gamers and not YouTubers who haven't a clue what needs adding or addressing! And maybe fly a few of the top Career Mode accounts on X out to Vancouver to actually test the mode and give legitimate feedback on how to improve it and what areas need most attention.. As i feel in recent years you've been adding things no one has asked for and neglecting top requested things the community has been asking for for years! (And i ask that @EASFCDirect address as many of the Bugs people post on their Social Media or Official Forum as possible too) #CareerMode #ManagerCareer #PlayerCareer

I'm not going to "spoil" any more of what this ML Event will have to offer, you'll probably find out this Thursday. All I can say is that the devs should be ashamed of using such an iconic name for this. They probably want nobody to play it tbf so they can have a extra excuse.

Today the #efootball PC version as been updated to 5.4.0, apparently by mistake. I can now confirm as expected: 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲, with a limited number of new cutscenes and not related to a proper ML "offline mode".

Couple of things I feel I need to say after the last few days: 1st: I don't work on gameplay, cinematics, Player faces, which teams or tournaments will be in the game or similar. My role is leading the Career Mode team which means specifically the features in Career Mode like Youth Academy, Transfers, Unexpected Events and so on. While I am happy to engage and love getting feedback I won't be able to speak to what is mentioned on top (cinematics, gameplay...) since it is not my area of expertise. The best place to give feedback to these things is our Feedback portal. 2nd: This is still my private account. Yes I have been more talking about the game since I found recent topics interesting but I also use it to talk football or other games. Spamming each post of mine with the same message is not okay. I will have gotten the notification the first time and will have read it. When I read the same message 20 times it will only lead to me having to mute you which I don't want to do. Same for just tagging me in random posts. The best place for bugs is still our feedback portal, there it gets in our tracker and gets prioritized. Otherwise always happy to talk Career Mode and engage with you since I love the passion I have seen of the Career Mode community. Thanks and appreciate it.

Here is my Automated Training setup that leads to you having to rotate the squad if you have multiple matches in a week: Intense 40 Heavy 80 Light 80 Recovery 40

Realized I never gave an insight into how I play Manager Mode. Will do the example with Frankfurt First my settings: Gameplay is usually authentic or sliders depending on how long matches are and how I feel about the difficulty As for deeper sim I pick the other 4 Top leagues and Second Bundesliga to look for players who perform well there Manager Market on and set on tough Board Expectations for Frankfurt on Lenient for other Clubs I might make them harsher. Reason being the Frankfurt board is usually pretty forgiving. Scouting Speed I leave to normal even though the Instant is tempting Unexpected Events on and set on High Difficulty Legendary Full Manual Match Length usually 6 Minutes sometimes 10 and for Youth 4 Minutes. I play Youth with Full potential because I want to try them out in the Youth Tournaments and see how they feel to play to know if in the future they are useful for my idea of playing Training Automated which I have my settings for that make players don't fully regenerate between matches to rotate Training Drills on First Transfer Window disabled and Realism on Realistic and Approach strict Contract I use our new setting to make it tougher and rethink my Squad because of some players not renewing Development Rate for Seniors I sometimes put on Slow for a more slow buildup. For youth I leave it on normal. Now to how I play: I spend a lot of time setting up my tactics since I want to make sure my players move how I want to. I usually like to Overload sides and have players Rotate positions. I also use the activity map on Square to see how I am covering spaces. I have multiple team sheets for different situations be it attacking or loading up the defense. For each opponent I might adjust my tactics slightly. I also look at the match report and prepare with Pre Match training for it for temporary playstyles. If a team for example plays possession I might train Interceptor. For youth scouting I try to go to countries that fit the position that I am seeking. As to Transfers and Scouting. I try to follow the philosophy of the club I pick. So for Frankfurt I might scout Scandinavian countries and France for players and look for talent that will replace players I will sell/ that would get huge offers. In general I try to have a mix of some experienced leaders and young talent in the squad. At the moment I am running some enjoyable saves, one being trying to bring Cottbus back to the Bundesliga.

I have to say I enjoy the discussion of simplicity versus more features that I have been seeing. To be clear we will continue improving the mode. As I said we need to have strong fundamentals and then build block on block on top. But I think it is important to remember that different people enjoy different things in a Career Mode: some want an authentic and very deep experience where they can drive deep into systems and features, I count myself to those players, while others want it to be quick and just want to do the most necessary things like transfers but actually want to quickly play matches and try out their signings and then there are others who want a mix of both. We are trying to find a balance for this through settings and I do believe you can right now find setups that will fulfill these different interests but it is a good reminder that what ever we do we need to have in mind that things need to be adjustable. It also gave me some thoughts on how can we make it easier to get the experience you want.

Understand the licensing issues around kit changes... But why not bring back the EA Catalogue & more importantly the wide variety of retro kits? 🤔 I know we have some now but it's nowhere near as many. This would be a great addition in FC27 🔥 *concept* #FC26 #FC27

Have seen some nostalgia around older titles like Fifa 17 (one I also remember fondly) and simplicity of Career Mode. It is one of the reasons we brought so many settings to Career Mode so you can decide yourself how deep you want to engage in the systems of Career Mode Here is my quick setup tip for a more classic Career Mode experience Training Plans = fixed rate Scouting= Instant Training Drills = Off Contracts = Lenient For player growth it is personal taste. Leave development plans on Dynamic. For the menu: use L2/LT to simply jump to the screen you want and create shortcuts. Makes navigating the menu fast and you have the screens you need quickly available. Last but not least: have fun! Career Mode is a sandbox where you should play the way you want.
