@RCulatta @StanfordEd Cheaters seem to be a certain personality type. When I was in high school in the 80s, I had friends who consistently cheated and got away with it. These same friends are now multi-millionaires. Yes, it is a cultural problem but not a school problem.

It’s interesting how much people suddenly care about cheating in school. Research from @StanfordEd shows that the level of cheating in US high schools hasn't changed with the intro of generative AI tools. Moral of story: cheating is a cultural issue not a technological one.

I use Chat GPT all of the time. Because of this, I catch all kinds of errors. Maybe it's my "prompt engineering"? I recommend less time talking about AI and more time focusing on human factors that benefit the lives and outcomes of students. #EdTech #education #AI

Right-wingers insist schools are rife with politicking, left-wingers that this is nonsense. Who’s correct? We don’t know. bit.ly/4a8Qv8W

@MyEdTechLife @k_shelton Identifying racial bias is @k_shelton's business so... I think the larger discourse with AI is around liability. If companies are powered by OpenAI, Anthropic or Google AI, whose liable for "bad" or "biased" responses? @elonmusk and his push for open source AI makes sense here.

"You are not permitted to take advanced placement classes." When AI scheduling amplifies historical biases in education, who gets left behind? @k_shelton warns of the perils of automating inequity. We must examine AI systems for biased datasets to ensure opportunities for all students. Check out his full talk: youtu.be/a3fzKi7K1XM?si… #AIinEducation #EquityInAI

@the_gifted_guy After watching 45 minutes of a tech CEO explaining technology, badly, you understand the value of public speaking. I wish sometimes that a company would just hire a well-spoken, engaging actor/spokesperson and just tell me they are the CEO.

Q2) What value or advantages do you think the ability to publicly speak provides for students and adults? #LearnLAP

@DrBradJohnson It is difficult to know if your team members legitimately have common goals and a shared purpose when they are getting paid. Most people will say anything to keep their job. 😆
