These days, social media seems to have convinced a lot of women that a 20 year old man should have the accomplishments of a general and if he doesn't, he's a loser, and that she's free to pursue "option three" which is "squander the 20s and into the 30s with meaningless hedonism, and then at 42 marry a 45 year old general who built on his own without you being in his life." Most men don't consider it an honor and privilege to be picked last, and used as a retirement plan, by a woman who gave her best years to other men and never would have picked him 25 years earlier when he was just beginning to build. Most men aren't going to be millionaires in their 30s or multimillionaires in their 40s. Most Americans who become millionaires reach their first million between 45 and 50.
