My biggest problem with SwiftUI right now is how terribly under-performant it is. Apple’s most powerful iOS device ever, powered by the cutting-edge M4 chip, can’t do this layout animation without horrible choppiness and hangs.

@DylanMcD8 I spent weeks optimizing the code in SwiftUI to achieve acceptable performance but I am far from UIKit. I even had to limit the update to iOS17+ to prevent older devices from suffering too much. I don't know if Apple will optimize SwiftUI but it would be very useful. 2/2

@DylanMcD8 Hi @DylanMcD8 ! I have exactly the same feeling as you with SwiftUI and I have big problems with slowness and fluidity with the animations. As proof, I want this game that I wrote in UIKit back in 2012 and that I have just rewritten entirely in SwiftUI. 1/2

@ashpole49 One on the best feature to me is opening the Camera streams. It very fast and efficient. Faster than any other third app and the native HomeKit app. What I really enjoy too, are the LockScreen widgets to open a gate or Garage door.
