If you're out on or in the water this weekend, please follow advice from @IWSie on how to stay safe. If you see someone in danger in the water or on the coast, call @IrishCoastGuard on 999 or 112 - the operator can also send an ambulance if needed.

At the request of @IrishCoastGuard, A Watch Kilbarrack provided fire cover for Rescue 118 from Sligo this week A Coast Guard ground crew and @AmbulanceNAS were standing by to transfer the patient to a nearby hospital

📟 On Friday evening we were tasked to a report of a fire on Ireland’s Eye off the coast of Howth. ✅ On investigation, we determined the fire was an illusion created by the bright working lights of a ship at sea.

📟 Yesterday, we were paged to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin to create a secure helicopter landing zone. 🚁 Irish Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter 118 was enroute with an inter-hospital patient transfer from Sligo to Beaumont.

📟 This afternoon, we were tasked to the report of a suspected body in the water near Sutton Cross. 🌊 Sadly deceased, the person was recovered to shore for handover to Gardai.

Advice during Status Yellow and Orange Wind Warnings Sunday 21 January 2024 #StormIsha Stay away from all coastal areas for the duration of the Met Éireann warnings 🌊 All road users should be aware of the potential for hazardous travelling conditions. 🚗 Motorists should slow down and be aware of the dangers of fallen trees and debris. High sided vehicles, cyclists and motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable during this time. 🏍 🚲 It is critical that people never ever touch or approach fallen wires, stay safe and stay clear of fallen or damage electricity wires, and contact ESB Networks at 1800 372 999. Use the PowerCheck App to check for reconnection times. Check transport websites for updates 🚌 Keep mobile phone charged 📱 Please also keep an eye on met.ie or the Met Éireann app for updated weather warnings.

📟🚁 In late December, we were tasked to Assist NEOC with HLS (Helicopter Landing Site) Preparation at Beaumont Hospital.

📟 ⛰️ Recently, we were tasked to the report of a car over a cliff in North Dublin. 🚙 Thankfully, the driver was uninjured and was cared for by @DubFireBrigade while we secured the vehicle from travelling over a further steep drop.

📟 🚑 Overnight, alongside @gardainfo we located and rescued an unresponsive person from mud flats in North Dublin. 🏥 The person was far out in deep mud, and after assessment was carried to shore by a stretcher team to a @DubFireBrigade ambulance. (Stock photo)

📟🚶🏼During the week, we had a report of a person attempting to cross tidal estuary on foot. ✅ We transported them back to safety.

📟 During Storm Fergus, we were tasked to a trawler in Howth Harbour with a crewman who had sustained injuries in strong gusts. 🚑 We transported the injured person to our Coast Guard station and provided care until arrival of @AmbulanceNAS
