After dinner I got a spur of the moment call from @sunsetsound and stopped by for a while. Everything about the place just sings the hymns of the American soul. Crazy how it’s survived so many cultural upheavals in the world and people have made the music that defined generations, within its borders.
People make music for a reason. They don’t always know those reasons, but by listening to honest music, we discover it together.
Thread: Busy afternoon and evening hanging with Avid at the #Burbank headquarters, talking with François Quereuil about cars, wine and music technology as usual 😅 The atmos room with the #S6 console is so clean and beautiful, I was definitely drooling over hardware control of spatial mixing.
Later on, I was called randomly by the legendary #SunsetSound to stop by for a chat on business and had such a blast. The place is truly extraordinary and over six decades in its life, it never ceases to thrill artists with inspiration and power (just ask Miley Cyrus). F*cking outstanding time.
Last week, had a fantastic outing to @NVIDIAGTC where we (@drscotthawley , @LouisBellMusic , guest Midian Mathers and I) gave a talk/discussion about AI in music, and why we believe that in order for it to become meaningful, it must address the reality of “why” people create music in the first place. We believe the answers to this moment in time lie not in pumping billions of hours of content into existence, but by enabling creativity-flow and expertise at the highest levels. Hence, @Hyperstate_AI is born.
Only 9.7% (thanks #A3E) of people working in audio feel that AI-leveraging tools are sufficiently addressing the needs of musicians and tool-creators.
Big thanks to @NVIDIAAI@nvidia and we are excited to be sharing more very soon.
