@Laganish You need to understand these people think of integrating the shadow as a very-bad-thing. This is CORE to their identity and world framework. The more you ask them to be mature, the MORE the artwork will be this way

I want to expound this a little. WoW usually does a great job of modelling characters as emotionally mature, or intentionally the opposite. Zul'jarra and Zul'jin, prime examples. The elven response to aid at the Sunwell is mature and rational. The game itself is immature.
Matt@Laganish

I would make a joke about some writers only watching children's cartoons but literal weekly toy advert anime has a thousand times the emotional maturity we're so downstream of consumption we've distilled out anything of real value, read a book not in the YA section

Trump acting like that bro who married a psycho bitch that isolates him from his old friends and family while absorbing him into hers. You tried to warn him, but now he won’t speak to you because you don’t support his new life and all you can do is watch

@Laganish consistent tone is the product of unitary/authoritarian structure: requires a director with a strong vision. WoW is now Unionized and ‘democratized’ with an uninvolved and a weak corporate structure. This is what that produces

somewhat unfair rageposting aside, I think WoW's got a few issues in how they work 1) they don't seem to set a tone and stick to it Nadia Brighton's dialogue in the Voidspire lead-up was so out of place it genuinely angered me. "This. Is. Ah-may-zing!", really? What the fuck?

@covingtown (Not saying much) but wasn't this was much better than usual WoW stories? At least a beginning-middle-end, and a resolution of conflict. Real dumb part was Sylvanas showing up, shooting 1 arrow, and then leaving. Villain leaves because Syl is there, but then Sly leaves so???

@maximum Having to fly the group 3 places raid night is a bit silly, nice if Void had a portal to March? Dreamrift seems kinda random? Overall its fine.

What is the opinion of actual wow players(not RWF viewers) on the multiple raids in one “tier” throwback this season? I’ve only heard very positive things but is it more than just novelty? Mythic lockouts are better? Voidspire being easy a good thing for the broader community?

@JereTHokkanen @SandyofCthulhu Not faithful, horrible hex grid in and out of combat. Messy UI, bad art. Heroes of Might and Magic Golden Era is a much better model of would could have been

Here's three. 1) Sid Meier's Pirates! except you start as a minor knight and it's all in medieval Europe. Probably Scotland. 2) Master of Magic using 2026 technology with a greatly enhanced spell, monster list, and so forth. 3) A real time strategy game in which everyone starts as different hominid species 100,000+ years ago. Your various species each have their own advantages & disadvantages. Like Homo floriensis uses a lot less food and can ride Stegodons, but their individuals have fewer hit points.

@covingtown The most obvious play is to scrap Mythic, its turbo toxic and obviously poison for WoW — burns out your most rabid fans, punishes playing with friends. Norm/hero should give better vault rewards (hero/myth) so will be very popular. Sweats will still have infinity M+

4 levels of difficulty (5 if you include story mode) is just too much. If it were up to me, keep LFR wings but they all drop week 1 and are Normal difficulty. Scrap existing Normal tier as redundancy. Also scrap Heroic. Leave Mythic as is. Does my solution seem too… Savage?
Mees 🔜 BlizzCon26@MeesRp

I’m gonna go against the grain and say there should be SOME incentive to motivate even story players to participate in group content I’m cool with solo content but WoW is not a single player game. Make some pals and join a community. I killed it night one.

Extremely underrated Hasan Piker moment was when he went on a five minute rant about how the streets should run red with the blood of landlords and like five days later everyone found out his mom owns and manages commercial real estate

The reason we haven’t been back to the moon has nothing to do with your retarded conspiracy theories. The reason is that NASA destroyed itself with DEI while our country bankrupted itself with an out of control welfare state and mass immigration from the third world. Now we spend billions of dollars every year buying Doritos for fat people and providing health care to African immigrants. It’s really not that hard to connect the dots here. You don’t need to invent any cinematic conspiracy scenario or start babbling about how “space isn’t real” like a schizophrenic crackhead. It’s the welfare state and immigration. That’s the reason why we stopped doing most of the cool shit we used to do. The reason is the welfare state and immigration.

A nice adaptation of Rawls’ veil of ignorance. For an even wider perspective of your fortunes, draw a marble not just from the pool of 8 billion extant humans, but from the 100 billion humans who ever lived.

Retrovania Land 🍕
Retrovania Land 🍕@RetrovaniaLand·
On March 18, 1991 —exactly 35 years ago today—the rubber-suited, body-horror sci-fi chaos of The Guyver exploded onto limited screens! 💥🧛‍♂️🍕 Yo, Crypt Squad & Pizza Power Kids! It's your favorite eternal pizza-slingin' NES overlord, Cap'n Retrovania, clawin' outta the neon-drenched crypt to celebrate this gnarly '90s cult classic with extra cheese and toxic vibes! Directed by creature-FX madmen Screaming Mad George (the gooey genius behind Society's infamous shunting scene) and Steve Wang (master of creature effects) produced by Brian Yuzna (king of Re-Animator, From Beyond, and all things gloriously grotesque), it's a wild live-action take on Yoshiki Takaya's Bio-Booster Armor Guyver manga/anime. Picture this latchkey nightmare Average college dude Sean Barker (Jack Armstrong) finds a mysterious alien Guyver Unit that bonds to him like a sentient pizza box from hell, transforming him into a bio-armored cyborg beast with retractable mega-swords, gravity crushers, high-frequency vibes, and that iconic helmet scream. He gets hunted by the evil Chronos Corporation (aka Kronos), run by slimy exec Fulton Balcus (David Gale) and mutant goon squad led by Lisker (Michael Berryman —fresh off The Hills Have Eyes terror). They unleash waves of grotesque Zoanoid shapeshifters in practical-suit glory—think full-on tokusatsu monster mayhem with martial arts brawls, apartment demolitions, and over-the-top body explosions. Bonus rad cameos? Mark Hamill as rogue CIA agent Max Reed (Luke Skywalker goin' full B-movie!), Vivian Wu as Sean's girl Mizky, Jeffrey Combs in support, scream queen Linnea Quigley, Jimmie 'JJ' Walker, and more '80s/'90s cult icons. Pure early-'90s cheese: practical effects dripping slime, karate kicks, and that perfect blend of manga weirdness meets American direct-to-video energy. Most of us discovered it on VHS around '92—right in the sweet spot of Ninja Turtles reruns, Power Rangers precursors, and late-night USA Up All Night binges. Critics were meh back then, but it's built a die-hard cult following for the sheer absurdity, those gooey Zoanoid designs, and the unapologetic fun. Recent Blu-ray/4K releases make those creature suits pop like never before—def worth a rewatch! Who's fired up for Guyver Day? Drop your fave scene below (that insane apartment Zoanoid fight? The final boss showdown? Hamill's one-liners?), tell me if you vibe more with the original or the 1994 sequel Guyver: Dark Hero (which cranks the action even higher), and let's flood the crypt with retro sci-fi love! Happy Guyver Day, retro warriors—may your pizza stay hot and your Zoanoids stay slimy! 🍕💀📼 #TheGuyver #GuyverDay #RetroSciFi #CultClassics #BioBoosterArmor #SteveWang #ScreamingMadGeorge #BrianYuzna #Tokusatsu #90sHorror #PizzaPower #RetrovaniaLand #80sKidsRule #90sNostalgia
