Our Energy Efficiency and Conservation Committee (E2C2) met this morning to review the performance of two programs. Staff also presented findings on new technology and reviewed pilot programs for the committee to consider adding to IMEA's robust incentive measures.

Thank you to all who joined us for our solar project ribbon-cutting in Marshall. This 1-Megawatt project will produce enough carbon-free energy to power 190 homes!🌞🏡 It's one of three we’ve opened in 2025 and is another step toward our sustainability and renewable energy goals.

IMEA held a ribbon-cutting to officially open our newest green power producer, a 1-MegaWatt single-axis tracking solar site in Princeton. Do you think we were getting maximum power from the sun yesterday? It certainly felt like it!

Starting June 1, IMEA began receiving 25 megawatts of power from Big River Solar. A power purchase agreement with the site’s owner gives IMEA power from the solar energy generation site for a term of 10 years!

The Citizens Utility Board (CUB) is warning utility customers of an electric price spike starting June 1st.⚡️ IMEA Municipalities are protected from this type of volatility through owned generation and long-term resource planning and won't see this spike.
