🎙️ INTERVIEW: Inter Miami’s new goalkeeper @saintc17 🧤 We asked him who he looked up to growing up, and his answer was instant: Dida. He pointed to that era of AC Milan dominance, but the real message was bigger than highlights, he talked about representation and how seeing someone who “looks like you” can matter when you’re a kid chasing the position. He also said he’s always tried to be a student of the game: take pieces from everyone, apply what fits, and be honest about what doesn’t. Access courtesy of @sevnfutbol 🤝 Full clip in video. Watch till the end to see us give our main man between the sticks a little laugh. 😉 #InterMiami #InterMiamiCF #MLS #Goalkeeper #Futbol Soccer ACMilan Dida SevnFootball InterMiamiDaily

🗣️ Mascherano on Berterame: “We wanted to play with two wingers — we thought we could hurt New York that way. We had been playing on the left side without a pure winger, so we wanted numerical superiority. It was a strategic decision and it worked out. I spoke with Germán this week; he is a kid who works hard and made the most of the minutes he had.” Via @Jarm21

Another Florida-made talent is officially on the rise. Inter Miami CF announced that Academy graduate Alexander Shaw has signed a Homegrown Player contract through the end of the 2026 MLS season, with club options beyond that. The 17-year-old midfielder becomes the 11th Academy product to complete the pathway to the First Team. Shaw already gave supporters a glimpse of what is coming next. He made his MLS debut against Charlotte FC on March 14 after previously featuring during Inter Miami’s 2026 preseason, including appearances against Alianza Lima and Barcelona SC, plus a start against Independiente del Valle in Bayamón. This is bigger than just one contract. It is another sign that the club’s development pipeline is producing real first-team opportunities. From the Academy to Inter Miami II and now to the senior squad, Shaw’s progression is exactly the kind of story this club should want to tell. Florida made. Opportunity earned. Now the next chapter starts. Via: Inter Miami CF #InterMiamiCF #AlexanderShaw #Homegrown #InterMiamiAcademy #InterMiamiDaily

🚨Morning thoughts after a difficult night — Inter Miami will definitely get better as the season progresses, but with the primary objective of CONCACAF Champions Cup gone this early into the season, what will make 2026 a success for them? 👀💗🖤

Inter Miami’s move for Matías Acevedo feels different for a reason. This is not the usual story of an MLS club waiting until a young talent is overlooked, stalled, or ready for a second chance. Acevedo is viewed as one of the most exciting young attacking profiles in Argentina, and the fact that Inter Miami is being seriously linked to that kind of player says a lot about how the club is being perceived right now. At 17, he is already drawing attention because of the way he sees the game, carries the ball in tight spaces, and creates danger between the lines. Players with that kind of ceiling usually end up being discussed in the context of Europe first. That is why this situation stands out. For years, clubs in this league were mostly seen as a final destination for stars or a development step for players from within the region. Inter Miami is starting to push beyond that. The message attached to a move like this is bigger than one prospect. It suggests the club wants to compete for elite young talent before the rest of the world decides the price is too high. If this deal gets over the line, it will not just be another addition to the squad. It will feel like another sign that Inter Miami is building for what comes next, not just for what looks good right now. Inspired by @DiceElDani ‘s take on Matías Acevedo. #InterMiamiCF #MLS #MatiasAcevedo #InterMiami #Argentina

Everything is still there for Inter Miami tonight. The first leg ended 0-0 at GEODIS Park, which means the Round of 16 series comes down to this second leg in Fort Lauderdale, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET at Inter Miami CF Stadium. It is a simple equation now: find the breakthrough at home, survive the pressure moments, and keep this Champions Cup path moving. What makes this one more interesting is that the scoreless draw in Nashville did not really settle anything. It only shifted the tension into Miami. Inter comes in knowing the opportunity is massive, but so is the margin for error. One loose sequence, one wasted spell in front of goal, one defensive lapse, and a controlled tie can turn chaotic fast. Nashville has already shown in this series that it is comfortable making games physical, tight, and uncomfortable, which means Miami’s quality has to be matched by patience and discipline. The broader context matters too. Inter Miami entered this tournament with real expectations, not just because of the names in the squad, but because this competition represents one of the clearest paths to continental credibility. MLSsoccer framed Miami as a favorite in the matchup and noted that the club is chasing its first Concacaf Champions Cup title, while the aggregate winner of this tie advances to face either the Philadelphia Union or Club América in the quarterfinals. That turns tonight from a routine knockout game into something bigger: a chance to prove this group can carry pressure beyond league play and into a tournament where every detail matters. There is also real form on the other side. Nashville comes into the night unbeaten in league play and fresh off a 1-0 road win over Columbus Crew, while MLS coverage highlighted the production of Hany Mukhtar, Sam Surridge, and Cristian Espinoza as a major reason for their strong start. So this is not just Miami trying to finish a job at home. It is Miami trying to break down an opponent arriving with belief, structure, and momentum. From Miami’s side, the match also lands in the middle of a stretch where squad depth and readiness matter. Inter Miami announced Cesar Abadia-Reda on a short-term agreement ahead of this match, making him available for the second leg, and the club has also recently highlighted academy involvement around the first team setup. That does not change who the stars are, but it does speak to the broader picture: this is a night where the usual headliners matter, but so do the supporting pieces, the bench, and the players trusted to keep the level high if the game gets stretched. The emotional angle is obvious, but the football angle is even more important. Miami does not just need energy from the crowd or a big-game aesthetic under the lights. It needs clean execution. It needs to control the rhythm better than it did in stretches of the first leg. It needs to turn possession into real danger, and when chances come, it has to be ruthless. Nights like this are where knockout teams separate themselves from talented teams. One can look good. The other advances. So that is the assignment in Fort Lauderdale: protect home ground, create the moment, and take the next step. A scoreless first leg left the door open. Tonight decides who actually walks through it. #InterMiamiCF #ConcacafChampionsCup #GameDay #Herons #intermiamidaily

Inter Miami steps into the Round of 16 with the supporters behind them and another chance to keep writing history under the lights. This is what home is supposed to feel like. The palms outside, the noise inside, the pink in the stands, and a crowd ready to turn another Champions Cup night into a statement. Our Stadium is more than the setting. It is part of the pressure, part of the energy, and part of what makes nights like this feel bigger. Inter Miami could be getting a major boost at exactly the right time. Head coach Javier Mascherano confirmed that Lionel Messi and Rodrigo De Paul are both in fully fit condition ahead of the upcoming Concacaf Champions Cup clash with Nashville. The two stars were held out of the recent MLS match in Charlotte, a decision focused on rest and managing minutes as Miami navigates a packed early-season schedule. Now, with the knockout tie still wide open, Inter Miami may have two of its most influential players ready to step back onto the field together. Messi’s creativity and leadership combined with De Paul’s relentless energy in midfield could play a decisive role as Miami pushes for a place in the next round. Big moments in continental competition often come down to your biggest players. Inter Miami could be welcoming two of them back at the perfect moment. 🚨🗣️ Pep Guardiola: "The difference between Messi and this generation? I’ll be honest, if Messi were still in Europe, half of these stars… you wouldn’t hear much about their names. Today’s forwards score 20 goals a season and are considered legends. Messi would score 20 goals in two months or half a month and still complain he wasn’t at his best. Players today celebrate routine goals. Messi used to embarrass us by scoring world-class goals every single week. You know what the difference is between Messi and today’s generation? They need tactical analysis, performance-tracking devices, and nutritionists. Messi just needed a ball, boots, and my permission to train three extra hours. I’m coaching Haaland now, and he’s amazing. But if Messi were in the Premier League, Erling would be playing left back. Messi didn’t compete against players, he competed against our idea of what was impossible. Today Mbappé runs, Haaland scores, and De Bruyne passes, but no one, no one, can make us say, ‘Oh my God, how did he do that?’ Some players create stats. Messi created pure wonder." [PurelyFootball]

I’m tired of this 'secret' narrative. Inter Miami is a football club, not a marketing agency. There is a tactical mystery to this game for a reason. Why would the coaching staff give Charlotte a head start on the lineup just to satisfy ticket sales? It makes no sense. If you are paying hundreds of dollars only to see one man, that is your mistake. You should be paying to see the TEAM. You pay for the badge and the 11 players on the pitch. That uncertainty is part of the sport. They have a massive game against Nashville on Wednesday. Rotation is common sense, not a conspiracy. Stop acting like tourists and start acting like supporters. The crest comes first, always. #InterMiamiCF #MLS #DiceElDani

Alexander Shaw gave @Intermiamicfhub and @intermiamidaily a look into the message from Javier Mascherano before kickoff, and it says a lot about the mindset behind Inter Miami’s young group. “Believe in ourselves and play with your heart. That we deserve the opportunity and to go out there and enjoy it.” With young players called on to step up, the message was simple: trust your game, embrace the moment, and leave everything on the field. A strong glimpse into the confidence and belief being built within the next wave at Inter Miami. #InterMiamiCF #InterMiamiDaily #AlexanderShaw #JavierMascherano #MLS

@TaylorTwellman had major praise for Daniel Pinter after the young Homegrown made his first MLS career start in Charlotte. “You watch the touches and the mannerisms and the movement of Daniel Pinter, you’d have no idea this is his first MLS career start. The 18-year-old homegrown is very clean and very decisive.” For an 18-year-old stepping into his first MLS start, that kind of recognition says a lot. Pinter looked composed, confident, and ready for the moment on a big stage. A memorable night for one of Inter Miami’s rising young talents. #InterMiamiCF #DanielPinter #InterMiamiDaily #MLS #homegrown

Full-time in Charlotte: Inter Miami and Charlotte FC split the points in a scoreless draw at Bank of America Stadium. Miami controlled a slight edge in possession, Charlotte tested the defense more often, and neither side found the breakthrough. Still, the night offered more than just a road clean sheet, with younger players like @danipinter7 getting the start and both @alex_shaw8 and @checheabadia seeing second-half minutes as Inter Miami battled through a disciplined 0-0 result. #InterMiamiCF #InterMiamiDaily #MLS #CharlotteFC #DanielPinter
