Rain has finally stopped falling at Dublin Airport. All major roads leading to/from the airport are open. How wet was it? An incredible 51mm of rain fell at the airport in the 30 hours up to lunchtime. For context, in the whole of February last year, we’d 48mm! ☔️ 📸 Ian Ryan

A surprise visitor landed on the west apron tonight - a very chatty parrot who clearly wasn’t booked on any flight! 🦜 Thankfully, Dave from AOSO made a new feathered friend and brought him to the Dublin Airport Fire Station, where he’ll hang out until we can reunite him with his owner. No holiday to the Canaries for this guy - not just yet anyway! 🇮🇪✈️

Dublin Airport’s operations team welcomed home one of their own champions today following the Euro Nations Bowling Challenge in Scotland this weekend! Rachel Bermingham works in airside operations at Dublin Airport… But in her off time she is a member of Ten Pin Bowling Ireland, Irelands national bowling team who were competing in the Euro Challenge. After a strong weekend performance - she proudly brought home a whopping 3 medals! - 2 gold and 1 Bronze! As a kind gesture, 2 operations vehicles escorted the Ryanair aircraft to stand - during the Escort, Dublin ATC sent on their congratulations to the European champions and Rachel. The end of an era 🚁 Wishing our friends, the crew of Rescue 116, the very best as they move onto their new base in Weston. On Monday 30th of June, our nearest neighbours on ICS116 signed off for the final time from @DublinAirport, when they landed at their base in the old Iona ramp.
