If found, please return to the nearest pub or Catholic church. It’s pronounced Meekle as in treacle - an old Scots word meaning 'big or large'.

On receiving the news of his appointment by Pope Leo XIV as an Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Southwark, Canon Gerard Bradley said: "I carry these words of Our Lord in my mind before my ordination, which I’ve been thinking about since my teens: “Watch and pray”. Keeping my eyes open and fixed solely on Him, watching to catch glimpses of His presence, and to beg for His Gifts again and again." Read more: cbcew.org.uk/auxiliary-bish…

🇻🇦🇬🇧 Their Majesties will undertake a State Visit to the Holy See in late October, joining Pope Leo XIV in celebrating the Jubilee Year. A Papal Jubilee occurs every 25 years, and is a special time for the Catholic Church. The visit will also celebrate the ecumenical work by the Church of England and the Catholic Church, reflecting the Jubilee’s theme of walking together as ‘Pilgrims of Hope’.

Hard to put the move I made last summer into words. This is my best attempt 👇

GAZA Cardinal Pizzaballa prays the Rosary with Catholic children in Holy Family Church today

I gave a speech today in an empty chamber. It’s about the need for a Christian restoration.

Cardinal Pizzaballa: “What we know for sure is that a tank, the IDF says by mistake, but we are not sure about this, they hit the Church directly, the Church of the Holy Family, the Latin Church” Images of the only Catholic Church in Gaza before and after today’s attack.

This was utterly disrespectful to my family, my constituents including the congregation, and the democratic process. My private religion will continue to have zero direct relevance to my work as an MP representing all my constituents without fear or favour. 3/3
