Surely relationships are not about 'winning' but about sharing responsibilities & being honest. They could make this work if he was prepared to share parenting.

It seems clear that their life goals may be truly & significantly different, so much so that a life together would be good for neither of them. This couple needs to have a serious discussion to sort it out & it may be each goes their separate way.

@abi_ldnsw It is crazy how difficult and expensive it is to qualify as a nurse, we treat students nurses very badly. So many have to work additional hours around placement and study just to survive - it's not sustainable and does not value the next generation of nurses we all depend on.

I have a friend crying down the phone to me because SAAS have capped mileage claims and she can no longer afford to get to and from placement. She's hysterical saying she now can't afford to finish her final year. Being a student nurse should NOT be this hard. Change is needed.

@MuffinAnderson @Keir_Starmer They don't have a clue do they? This type of simplistic claptrap shows that they havent consulted in any real way with those actually in nurse education. The placement situation simply doesnt work for the numbers we have now. Hope youre placement goes ok.

@Keir_Starmer I'm a student nurse. The placement i'm currently on can't cope with the amount of students they have now due to staff shortages, how would they handle more? Deal with retention and support for those already working please.

Labour will reform the NHS: Self referrals for patients. Double the number of graduating doctors and district nurses. Increase training places for nurses and midwives. Free up GPs to focus on patients. With Labour, patients will get the service they need.

If only they would listen to women, they would know that it doesn't matter how they hope to make us feel. There's a reality about how we do feel and we've expressed that over, and over.
