It's incredibly, incredibly hard when any outlet that is an escape or coping mechanism suddenly changes or has some kind of terminus, but a few things: 1: The dev team announced that the game will receive a final update. They are treating it as a complete, enduring product, ensuring the community can continue playing together for years to come. The servers will still be there, your squad will still be there - though the names may come and go. 2: Things are hard for everyone right now. The world is...a bit of a mess, and if you aren't in a position to come - we will always be here. There will always be other years and you can enjoy main stage programming from home. Please don't add to your stress trying to figure out money. You come first. 3: We've had the pleasure of working with our good friends at @GuardiansMH for years now. They'll be with us this year to promote mental health and also offer some resources onsite for people who may need a breather. They also have loads of virtual resources right now you can access on their website. Their app is 24/7 and can point you to spaces where you can just - talk and be heard. guardiansmh.org/resources-2 Change sucks. No one likes it...because the hardest thing about change is that it comes hand in hand with time. But sometimes that change can point you in new directions you hadn't considered because standing still is the easiest thing in the world. Finding your place, much less your people is a lifelong journey. But you're not alone in it. You'd be shocked how many of us struggle right along with you. 💗
