So, I've just realised that in the original Dharug language, "Burramatta" which meant "place of eels" became anglicised by the colonists to "Parramatta". Doesn't it make sense in such cases, to return to the original language, and call it Burramatta once more? Discuss. #Australia

As a coda film maker along with my collaborator, Deaf filmmaker Sofya Gollan, we were lucky to meet with #Troykotsur at @ReelAbilities In his Acceptance speech he said “This Academy Award is for Deaf people, codas and for people with disability. That this was our moment”.
